There are a number of initiatives offering medical aid to refugees in Britain and across Europe.
Doctors of the World (facebook) are the main point of contact for service users at their drop in sessions held at Brighton Voices in Exile. They interview service users to see if they need medical advice, help to access healthcare or further support. They also act as advocates and liaise with the NHS and other service providers to link the service users to the care they need.
Freedom from Torture is a nation-wide network focusing on the care, treatment and protection of torture survivors. It has opened a local branch (firstname.lastname@example.org) to raise crucial awareness of its work.
